The Beatles

The Beatles are the most popular and accomplished musicians of this century. These self taught musicians from Liverpool, England created music that continues to evolve in its form and depth - and at the same time to reflect the changing and dynamic world in which they lived. From their beginnings as a "skiffle" and dance band to the milestones of music they created together in Abbey Road Studios, the Fab Four are part of the musical history of the world.
The Beatles had exquisite three-part harmony, inventive lyrics, and incredible energy to make powerful original music. The bands first single was "Love Me Do" released in October 1962. Their first appearance in the U.S. was in February 1964 at the Coliseum in Washington. D.C. In 1963, the Beatles released two albums, four Eps and several singles. They performed on a variety of radio show tapings and participated in seven tours and a total of more than 200 live performances carving a permanent place for themselves on the British music scene. . By 1963, the group was a sensation and "Beatlemania" was born!.
